She is back with yet another film Jahaan Chaar Yaar which is about four female friends. In a recent interview, Bhasker spoke about how she values her girlfriends more after her “love life went to the dogs”. She even talked about playing characters in the film that embraces her vulnerabilities.
In a recent interaction with Indianexpress.com, Swara Bhasker opened up about shooting the film with the female cast as there was no ‘mansplaining’. She spoke about her camaraderie with four female actors. She was quoted saying, “I really enjoyed the company of all the girls, women on the set. The whole vibe was that there is a certain ease that I’ve begun to notice that you just have when you’re hanging with girls, like they just get you. The problems and all are often similar and even if they are not similar, they just get you, and then there is no mansplaining…”
She added, “And ever since my love life went to the dogs, I’ve discovered how precious my girlfriends are. I value them more than ever. And the more I love my girlfriends, the more my love life continues to be in the gutter because I feel ‘iski koi zaroorat hi nahi hai’. The strongest point of the film is the camaraderie between the four girls.”
The ‘Raanjhanaa’ actress further revealed why she took up the film Jahaan Chaar Yaar where she plays a middle-class housewife. She mentioned that it was challenging and demanding for her to play this role as she is not perceived by the people like this.
Meanwhile, Jahaan Chaar Yaar is about four middle-class housewives enjoying their in Goa without their husbands. The this is already running in theatres. I released on September 16, 2022.
